INTERN CLASS OF 2007
PROJECT TRANSFORMATION - KANSAS CITY
Project Transformation-Kansas City is a nine-week internship for college-age students in which they serve at urban congregations and explore Christian leadership through various studies, speakers, and workshops. Our vision for Project Transformation-Kansas City (PT-KC) is to come along side inner-city congregations to reach out to their neighborhoods, to serve under-privileged youth in urban areas, and to connect the passion and potential of young adults to the mission and ministry of the UMC. We believe that one summer in a positive environment like PT-KC can and will change how these college students live out their faith. Our prayer is that this internship will become an incubator for young adults to say "yes" to full-time ministry by creating a setting that is encouraging, challenging, and formational. INTERN RECRUITMENT
We will begin recruiting interns for Project Transformation – Kansas City by the first week of November to all campus ministry units and Methodist schools in both conference, through Board of Ordained Ministry, national associations, and the United Methodist Reporter. Our goal is to take 20 interns - 10 students from Kansas and 10 from Missouri. Potential interns can find more information at www.projecttransformationkc.org.
HOUSING
We have secured housing at the University of Missouri – Kansas City and will be serving meals/meeting in Central UMC right across from the campus.
